Re: New Street Medical Centre
The Mid Hants Primary Care Trust have announced their decision to close the above GP practice in my constituency – a decision that has generated considerable controversy.
I promised the Action Committee that I would write to you, to ask you to satisfy yourself that all due processes had been gone through, before the practice can close. These safeguards are set out in legislation, and I am sure you will want to satisfy yourself that this popular facility is not going to be closed without all the safeguards intended by Parliament being observed.
