The Bishop of Basingstoke, the Rt Revd Trevor Willmott, officiated at a Service of Thanksgiving for the Dedication of the Nave Refurbishment and Garden of Remembrance at St Marys Church, Amport.
"The pews have been removed and replaced with chairs, and a new carpet now covers the floor. The chairs are infinitely more comfortable than the pews, and there is a feeling of warmth as you come in that was not there before."
"There is an opportunity to use the space more flexibly, and many congratulations to David Mallam and his small team for driving this project forward, in conjunction with the Vicar Christ Pettet and the PCC."

The fundraising continues for a small extension to the front of the church,
