The 6-a-side competition had to be called off before the end, after several restarts due to the showers. After the end had been declared, we were visited by Sir George Young MP who joined us in the bar. Sir George, apart from being our local MP, is one of our Vice-presidents and it was great to see him there.

"It was good to catch up on the Clubs news at the beginning of the Season. They are still hoping to move to Charlton, but are very much in the hands of Test Valley Borough Council for progress. The popularity of the game, following last year's Test series, has resulted in a wave of young players joining the Club - which is excellent news. I hope to look in on the Club regularly, as the Season gets under way."
