Lychgate re-dedicated at St Thomas' Woolton Hill
2 Jul 2006
£20,000 was raised in 18 months by St Thomas Church, Woolton Hill, and the rebuilt gate was dedicated by the Vicar, Rev Christine Dale, after the 9.30 Family Service

"Bertha Bates did well to raise the money, with £14,000 being raised locally, and the balance coming from grants. This was a finely judged fundraising campaign, which raised £20,004."

"At last, the scaffolding has gone and we have a traditional lychgate that is save to walk under."

The church dates from 1849, to cope with the rising population in the area.
