George Otter celebrated his 90th Birthday with three other generations of his family. He was first admitted to the Church as a Reader in June 1947, so he was in his 60th year of Ministry.

The Rector of Amport, where George lives, Chris Pettet, paid a tribute to him and invited the party of about 100 in Quarley Village Hall to drink his health.

Squadron Leader George Otter worked at Amport House before he retired. Two previous vicars of the parish, who had worked with him, were at the celebrations.
