After a year or two with the Village fete being heldin the grounds of the Village Hall, Abbotts reverted to the larger site on the top of Bulberry Hill in the Sports Field.

The fete was officially opened by Abbotts Ann resident Jane Benson, High Sheriff of Hampshire, and this was followed by a gun dog display by Mullenscote Gun Dogs, and then a Birds of Prey flying demonstration. There was then the Scruffs Dog Show Competition.

"Andrew Bulpitt, John Barlow and the team on the AA Fete Committee put on a grand show, with a wide range of entertainment, bringing the fete season in NW Hampshire to a close. They raised a useful sum of money for the village halland the Church."
