The petition signed by hundreds of supporters of Enham Post Office will land on the desk of the Secretary of State for Trade and Industry tomorrow.
"Leslie Barry has done a first class job - first by providing a quality service to her many customers; and, second, by mobilising their support in getting this mega-petition together. She speaks for many other rural post offices in asking for continuation of the Rural Grant Subsidy which enables them to survive. I am looking to Alastair Darling for a positive response."
