Crux Easton Church raises funds for Mission to Seafarers
8 Oct 2006
The Deputy Mayor of Basingstoke and Deane, Cllr Warwick Lovegrove, and the local MP, Sir George Young looked in at the home of Carol O'Shaugnessy in Crux Easton, to support rthe Great Sea Tea.

This was raising money for the Mission to Seafarers - a charity that the local church has supported for some time.
"This is the 150th anniversary of the Mission's founding, and the need is as great as ever."

For £5, guests got as much tea as they could eat, and were invited to enter a nautical quiz. "I settled for buying a church tea-towel."
