The Andover Choral Society with the Andover Area Youth choir and the Anton Sinfonia presented Mozart at Christmas at St Mary's Church, Andover.
The Rev Chris Pettet welcomed the audience before handing over to the Conductor, Bruce Randall.

"This was a superb concert of Mozart Choral Music, with Allyson Hall, Eleanor Jakeman, Peter Stewart and Nigel Sacree as soloists. They performed part of the Coronation Mass, then other less-known pieces which were beautifully executed."

At the interval, Sir George presented George Fisk with a cheque and a picture of St Mary's - where the Society performs.

"George is 95 and has retired from the Choral Society after 60 years membership. He was Chairman for 25 years, and has been an Honorary Vice-President ever since."

"We thank him for his commitment and dedication to the society. While we are sad we won't hear him again, we look forward to seeing him at future concerts for many years to come."

In the second half, the Andover Area Youth Choir sang, and then the audience joined in for some traditional carols.

"Kevin Lawton and the Society put on another quality event, enjoyed by a capacity audience."
