Mini Marathon raises thousands for local charities
3 May 2000
The 10th Test Valley Mini Marathon was held at Charlton Sports and Leisure Centre on May 9th, raising thousands for Andover Neighbourhood Care, Trinity Trust and the Romsey Hospital Appeal.

"Thanks to the generosity of sponsors and supporters, this event has raised over £100,000 for local charities. I was delighted to see how well supported it was on Sunday, and how much enjoyment the event brought."

Sir George met someone his own size, and was there to see the runners start.
