North West Hampshire MP issues reminder of 18 April registration
deadline.
"Test Valley Borough Council and Basingstoke & Deane District
Council residents have only three weeks left to make sure that they are on the electoral register, if they want to vote in the local elections on 3 May. Unless they are registered by 18 April they will be unable to vote for their local council representatives."
Local MP Sir George Young today gave his support to the Electoral Commission’s Registration Week, which launches today alongside an advertising campaign, to remind people to ensure they are registered

"All people need to do is complete a simple form and return it to their local authority by 18 April, if they have not already completed and returned a form within the last six months. People who have recently moved house also need to do this as a matter of urgency."

Forms are downloadable from www.aboutmyvote.co.uk, or by contacting the local authority’s electoral registration office directly.
