"The Headquarters of the Macular Disease Society is based in Andover and, having been in regular contact with them about treatment available for the disease, I am holding a half hour debate in the House of Commons on Tuesday on this subject."

Sir George is concerned that two drugs which can arrest the disease and improve vision for the elderly are subject to a post code lottery. He wants the Government to speed up the approval process so all those who can benefit from the treatment can get it.
