Sponsored by the Hampshire County Youth Service, Test Valley Borough Council and Connexions, Andover Youth Forum took over the High Street for the afternon to present The Big Thing.
"This was an ambitious project for the Youth Forum, involving commissioning a range of attractions from a helicopter from the Army Air Corps to a climbing wall, a bungee run and a 2-a-side football competition."
"On top of these and other attractions, there were stalls manned by organisations providing services for young people - the Junction, the Phoenix Centre, Test Valley Community Services and many others. There was a fashion show, live music from local bands and much else to keep folk happy and occupied."
"I was shown round by Alex Kirk, one of the organisers and a local member of the UK Youth Parliament. He and his team deserve congratulations for masterminding this successful event."
