Funds were raised for the local church, and for Scouts and Guides, at the Annual Headley with Ashford Hill Fete, held at the Headley Recreation Ground.

The fete was opened by Sir Timothy Sainsbury, who lives locally and whose wife always runs a popular stall at the fete.
Sir George arrived in time to draw the raffle, and to judge a vegetable competition.
