St Mary's Church in Overton raised funds through the Annual Fete, held in the grounds of the Old Rectory.
"The rival attraction of the Derby did not seem to keep the numbers down, and the bottle stall was as popular as ever. It was good to see the Rector, Rev Nigel Cummins, there at his last fete before he retires later this year. he will be sorely missed."
