Thruxton Village held its annual fete on the village green, raising funds which are distributed to local causes. In the past, beneficiaries have been the Three Villages Sports Trust, the WI, the Little Acorns, the Gardening Club, the Church and the Village Hall.
The fete was organised by the Thruxton Village Association, Chairman Ricahrd Ward. Master of Ceremonies was Chairman of the Parish Council, Charles Milner-Williams.
"This year they had a new attraction - the Team Game, devised by Martin and Sue King. This involved a team of two to four people manoeuvring blocks of wood against the clock; I fear the Youngs' time of just over a minute will not last for very long."
