Philip Langley celebrated half a century in the business.
"Philip is the only independent butcher in the town, and provides a quality service which we all appreciate."
Andover Ford offered him a Mazda for the weekend as a present and Lorraine Sale came along with the keys.

Philip's grandmother opened the family's first butcher shop, and Philip started working on his father's stall when he was 11. Philip took the business over in 1964 and moved from Gloucester to Andover in 2000.

"I helped Philip move from Mylen Road to his present premises in Charlton Road, and people come from miles around to buy their meat from him."
