Hampshire Artists Open Studios promotes the activities and sales of artists and craftspeople living or working in Hampshire.

The two week open studio 'trail' from August 18th to September 2nd gives people the opportunity of visiting artists exhibiting in their homes, studios and village halls. Most of the work is for sale, with the benefit of direct selling.

"There are two artists in Penton who are taking part in this - Geoff Townson and Judy Clarke. Geoff does sculptural landscapes of the Hampshire and Dorset coast, and small to medium abstracts and life paintings. Judy specialises in animal portraits. This is the 7th year of the scheme and there are 176 potential venues."
