For the 18th year, Philip and Gill Winchcombe hosted a concert in the garden of their home in St Mary Bourne, to raise funds for St Peters Church in the village and for the REME Benevolent Fund.

"This popular formula features a top class band - Jambalaya - led by Dick Cook, with the Hampshire Caledonia Band playing in the two intervals. Guests bring their own lunch, and enjoy quality jazz in convivial surroundings. The event is well-supported by folk from all over Hampshire and has found a niche in local diaries. We are all grateful to Philip and Gill for the hard work which goes into organising the event."

£1500 was raised for the two charities
