Andrew Bulpitt, this year's Fete Chairman, opened the show at 1pm, and a record one thousand people visited it during the following three and a half hours. John Barlow acted as Compere, and was in charge of thw Presentation of Produce and Craft Cups and Medals.
"What was unusual was the Car Show, with some unusual vehicles including a three wheeled Heinkel. Poeple could vote for the winner, and the Mini is stuill clearly a favourite."
Other attractions were the Mullenscote Gundog Display, the Scruffs Dog Show, Crockery Smashing - plus the Produce and Craft tent.
