Andover College held a Celebration of Achievement Awards' Ceremony at the Lights in Andover, to mark the achievements of the last students at Cricklade College. (After 30 years, Cricklade College was merged earlier this year with Sparsholt Colege to become Andover College - a campus of Sparsholt.)

At the beginning of the event, Tim Jackson, Principal and Chief Executive spoke of the £30 million building programme that would enable the new college to drive up standards yet further. The Marlborough Building is being refurbished in the meantime to accommodate the 6th Form Academy.
Guest speaker at the event was professor Sue Heath from Southampton University, a former Cricklade Student. She spoke of the changing "rites of passsage" of young people and of her research into shared households.

A number of awards were then presented by sponsors, ending with the former Acting Principal of Cricklade - Matt Atkinson - presenting the Principal's Award for the student who has demonstrated an outstanding contribution to the College to Kayleigh Chant, who is in the early stages of opening her own hairdressing salon in Andover.
