Guest Speaker at a Dinner of the North West Hants Patrons Club, held at the RAF Club in Piccadilly, was Caroline Spelman, Chairman of the Conservative Party.
The dinner was organised by the Club's Chairman, Sandy Copland, and attended by 50 members, including the former MP for North West Hants, Sir David Mitchell and the Association Chairman, Therese Coffey.
Speaking after the dinner, Caroline Spelman said the Party now had to recalibrate itself for a Marathon, as opposed to a Sprint. "We cancelled all leave over the summer, and we were ready for an election which many of us believed would be called. Now there is no election, we have to maintain the pressure over a longer period and, above all, be resilient."
