Andover Baptish Church welcomed its new Senior Pastor at a Service led by the Rev Kathryn Morgan, Regional Minister, Southern Countiues Baptish Association.

A packed church welcomed Rev Clive Burnard and his wife Marilyn.
Clive grew up in Scarborough, but for the past 17 years has been at Christchurch in Dorset. He was asked to come to Andover after the previous Minister, David Hewett, left in October 2006.

"Clive was given a very warm welcome to Andover, and many of his former parishioners from Christ Church also came to the service.
He struck me as a man of great energy and commitment, and Andover is fortunate to have him."

Clive is a keen cricketer and rugby player and at the end of the service he said how much he was looking forward to serving people in the town. He was welcomed by Rev Colin James, Chairman of Andover Churches Together, by the Deputy Mayor, Cllr Brian Page, and by the local MP Sir George Young
