Four days after accompanying the Archbishop of Canterbury on his visit to Andover, the Bishop of Winchester returned to St Pauls Church Centre on Roman Way.

At the Mothering Sunday Service, he dedicated a new Chancel Cross which the local vicar, Rev Andrew Ashdown, had recently brought back from Bethlehem, where it has been made by a local co-operative.

The Church Centre is a multi-purpose building; the cross will be suspended from the ceiling, and will be visible at all times.
