An Art Exhibition was held at East Woodhay Village Hall on March 15th and 16th.
"Artex 08 was the fifteenth in the series, and each year the quality of the paintings is higher than the year before. Last year, the Exhibition raised £4500 for St Martins School Association - the Schools biggest earner. A percentage of every art sale goes to the St Martins Church and St Martins School."

Sir George met local artist Susan Line from Broad Layings in Woolton Hill, who works mainly in oil, acrylic and encaustic wax.
"Susan is one of many local talented artists whose works are on display. On the walls of my office in the House of Commons are works I have bought at this exhibition, which cheer me and my visitors up."

"This exhibition is very professionally run by a small committee of parents and teachers, who once again have put on a very successful exhibition."
