The PreSchool at Andover Baptist Church has just been awarded the Pre-school Learning Alliance's National Accreditation Certificate. This award has only been given 177 times in the last year - with a potential 15,000 preschools in eNGLAND.

"This is a popular and successful pre-school, which is at the moment over-subscribed. Parents appreciate a high quality preschool to give their children the best start in life."

A total of 41 children attend the six weekly sessions. Sir George met Cheri Lind - the new Head teacher - and Lynne Turner, who between them run the PreSchool; and members of staff.

Sir George was introduced by Rev Clive Burnard, the Minister, who complimented Sir gGorge on arriving by bicycle.
Sir George said that investment in the early years of a child's life produced greater returns then investment later on - hence the importance of good quality early years education. Many parents also placed a premium on children learning values, which the Baptist Church was well placed to do. He praised the work of Cheri Lind and Lynne Turner before handing over the certificate.
