Sir George spent a morning visiting Overton Primary School, whose pupils wanted to know more about what MP's do.

"We hope to arrange a visit to the Houses of Parliament, so the children can learn more about the place where MP's work"

Sir George was grilled for an hour by Years 5 & 6, who wanted to know whether it was hard or easy to be an MP; how old you had to be to become an MP; how you set about becoming an MP; and what were the satisfying parts of the job.

At the end, when Sir George asked how many would like to become an MP, about half a dozen put up their hands.

Going round the school, Sir George saw the Gamelan. (Gamelan is a term for various types of orchestra played in Indonesia. It is the main element of the Indonesian traditional music.) He also saw the preparations for a performance of Grease.

"This struck me as a happy school that stretched the children."
