Kingsclere held a Medieval Fair to help raise funds for a new Youth Centre.
"This event was on a very ambitious scale, lasting all day and hosting a large number of events from medieval combat re-enactment to a modern day battle and a tug-of-war. Not only did it raise funds for the new Youth Centre, but many othe local organisations were there raising funds as well - Tadley Citizens Advice Bureau, the Kingsclere Busy Bees Playgroup. Others, such as the CPRE were raising their profile and recruiting new members."

"The numbers of people attending the event show that there is a real appetite for local events like this. While people may be cutting back on some of the big ticket items, they are very happy to spend smaller sums on a good day out, supporting local organisations."
