The Annual Jazz event took place at Medhurst in st Mary Bourne, hosted by Philip and Gill Winchcombe. "As always, this was a great sucess, with 200 guests attending, raising over £1000 to be divided between St Peter's Church in St Mary Bourne and the REME Benevolent Fund. The formula of inviting people to bring a picnic lunch while they listen to quality music is a proven success."
Dick Cook and Jambalay were brilliant and while the Hampshire
Caledonia Pipe Band were slightly down on numbers from previous years they included two young pipers, Christina Maple (9) from Hamble and local Dermott MacDonald (10) from Andover, who drew much applause from the audience.

"I was lucky in the raffle winning a CD presented by 80 year old Peter Ind who plays the string bass for Jambalaya."
