Marion Orwin, one of the Governors of Roman Way School, helped organise a Christmas Card competition to raise funds for Macmillan Cancer Support.

The entries were displayed in St Thomas Church Charlton, where a Carol Service was held at which the Roman Way Choir sang.

Katie Blake, Hampshire and Berkshire Fund raising Manager for Macmillan, judged the competition, which was won by Emma Hunter.

A local printer printed cards of cards for no charge, and these were sold after the service. "I always run out of cards, so I topped up with a few of Emmas. It was great to see Macmillan raising funds in the town, where they are enormously welcome."
