Andover Young Carers hold Christmas Party
19 Dec 2008
Andover Young Carers held a Christmas Party for the children it supported. This was held at the Landale Wilson Hall in Enham, where there was a disco organised by "Endless Events". Manager Damien Goatley, the joint managing director of the Tadley company had agreed to help with the young carers’ Hallowe’en party.

The Mayor and Mayoress of Test Valley, Brian and Dorothy Page looked in, along with the editor of the Andover Advertiser, Jo Scicluna.
"There are many more young carers than people realise, and they need support. Under the leadership of Lorena Burlison, AYC has gone from strength to strength, and it was great to see over 30 children at the party, all having fun at the end of a busy year."

Jo Scicluna and Sir George challenged two young carers to a game of 4 by 4 - the carers won. Ben Walton provided a stretched limo to take people home at the end.
