The Bishop of Basingstoke, the Rt Revd Trevor Willmott, visited all four churches in the Benefice of Hurstbourne Priors, Longparish, St Mary Bourne and Woodcott to licence the new Assistant Priest, the Revd Terry Hemming.
He was accompanied by the Rural Dean of Whitchurch, the Revd Christine Dale, and the local Rector, Canon Martin Coppen.

The elements of the licensing were spread across the four churches, ending with the celebration of the Feast of Candlemas at St Nicholas, Longparish.

"It was good to meet Terry and his wife Ruth at St Mary Bourne, where he was presented with a picture of St Peters Church. We all wished him well in his new Ministry."
