At the end of the Morning Service at All Saints Church, Upper Clatford, the Vicar made a presentation to the organist, Len Piper, thanking him for his 61 years at the keyboard.
Speaking to the congregation, Len said he had been happy to respond to the initial request to help out, until such time as the church got a full-time organist. He told everyone of the marvellous time he had had with the church and with the choir since 1948.
The Vicar also thanked Len's wife, Lin, for her work for the church. Next week, the couple will celebrate their 59th wedding anniversary
