Andover Riding for the Disabled runs a variety of daytime and evening sessions for adults and children, providing an opportunity for them to get out into the fresh air and have close, safe contact with horses.

"I applaud the work done by ARD, particularly with the special schools in Andover. They need more volunteers to help with their work* and they raise funds through events such as the Daffodil Day in Binley."

"Two splendid gardens and woodlands are open for people to stroll through, with home made cakes and tea afterwards. This is a very popluar event and this year there seemed to be a record turn out. Mark and Elizabeth Maclay were very generous in hosting the event, and Robin and Anne Monro Davies were kind to make their grounds available as well."

*Those interested in helping - including those wary of horses - should contact either Elizabeth Maclay on 01264 738229 or Mercedes Leonard on 01264 735246
