The Benefice of Appleshaw & Kimpton & Thruxton & Fyfield & Shipton Bellinger celebrated their local Vicar's thirty years with a Eucharist in the garden of the Vicarage, followed by a party.

The sermon was given by the former Bishop of Truro, Bill Ind, and Revd Ann Mackenzie presented Ian Tomlinson with a plate to commemorate the occasion. About 100 people were present, including some who had left the parish but returned for the occasion. Ian Tomlinson was also given some roses

The De Fakto Singers sang at the beginning of the service, and Ian Tomlinson thanked the Churchwardens, the Parochial Church Council and his parishioners for the support they had given him over the past 30 years.

With thanks to Bruce Parker for the pictures.
