Sir George formally opened Cosy Homes Carpets and Furnishings in Colenzo Drive, a new business featuring one of Andover's best known businessman.

Ashley Churchill can trace his Andover roots back through several generations, and has run a number of businesses in the town. In 1986, Ashley and his sisters founded Second To None, a shop in Love Lane that sold second hand furniture. This became Elite Flooring, selling quality carpets at affordable prices.

Ashley then developed another business, Man 'N' Van, which became a thriving business and he has now turned his attention to Cosy Homes, a new venture. The owner is Barbara Bates, Ashley's long term partner, and his daughter Abi is helping Ashley manage the shop. Abi has an in-depth knowledge of carpets and furniture.

"It was a pleasure to open this new shop in the parade in Colenzo Drive, filling the space which used to be Threshers. The Churchill Family are well established in Andover, and I am sure this business will be a great success".
