The Big Fest was held in Vigo Road Park, Andover from 11am-9pm, with a range of workshops, displays and performances - fusing sport, physical activity and the arts.
"This was another marvellous day's entertainment at Vigo Road Park - following the Army Day and the recent carnival. Walking past the stands, I was reminded just how many sports organisations there are in and around the town, and it was marvellous to see them persuading people of all ages to join the clubs and engage in activity. Some of it was strenuous, but other activities less so - it was good to see the Andover Bowls Club in good form".
When the events started, Ian Axton, Managing Director of Andover Sound interviewed Heather Whittam, Director of Andover Lights - who masterminded the programme.
"Heather did a marvellous job with her team in organising this event, and the live music on the main stage featured a programme of talented local musicians, including Jamie Walsh, the winner of the recent That's Chantry Centrentainment competition".
There were over 30 exhibition stands, with plenty of have-a-go opportunities, such as tackling, organised by the Andover Rugby Club.
