The new bell tower (on the left) at North Waltham Primary School was rebuilt at a cost of £8,000. It restores the bell-tower that used to be there, and is in memory of the late Geoffrey Turner, Vicar at North Waltham. The money was provided by Basingstoke and Deane Council (£6,000) and Hampshire County Council (£2,000). It has a working bell inside the tower.
“It was good to see the new tower, when I went to the Farewell Party for the retiring Head, Elaine Wilson. After 11 years, she leaves behind many friends and supporters and has helped create one of the most popular and successful village schools in Hampshire.”
