This jazz concert was organised by the Friends of Whitchurch Silk Mill (see below) to raise funds for educational exhibits in the Mill. During the evening, there was a raffle for a range of prizes including one of Whitchurch Silk Mill's Limited Edition Millennium Silk Scarfs and a voucher for purchasing any of the wonderful products in the Silk Mill Shop.
Cuff Billett's New Europa Jazz Band was formed in 1970 and has remained virtually unchanged to this date. It is a seven piece band consisting of Trumpet, Trombone, Clarinet & tenor sax, bass, banjo, piano and drums.

Friends of Whitchurch Silk Mill
The Friends were founded in 1989 to support the Mill in its aims of preserving the site and the craft of silk making for the education and enjoyment of our visitors, thus ensuring its survival.
Who are we?
We are a group of people who share a love of the last working silk weaving watermill in the south of England.
Our activities help promote the under-standing, appreciation and enjoyment of this unique early 19th century building, the history of silk making in England and its connections with the country town of Whitchurch.
As a Friend you will enjoy
* Free admission to the Silk Mill
* Priority booking and reduced rates in our busy programme of talks, outings and events.
* A quarterly newsletter to keep you in touch with the Silk Mill.
