Andover Police hold Open day
26 Jun 2010
Following the successful Open Day last year, Andover Police Station held another Open Day, with crime prevention advice, countryside watch and other partners such as the Fire Service in attendance. Tours were given to the public of the cell block, and the police launched "Cop Swap". The picture shows the Mayor of Test Valley, Cllr Chris Lynn, with some of the cards which children can collect in order to get a complete set of local officers.

The Chief Constable of Hampshire, Alex Marshall was there with his son, and those who came were given advice on horse tack marking, cycle coding, and children were shown how fingerprints were taken.

"This was another very successful Open Day, well supported by people in Andover, and building up links between the Police Force and the local community. The key to successful policing is strong links and support from the community, and events such as the open day secure that."
