The Eagle in Abbotts Ann was voted 'Pub of the Year' by North Hampshire CAMRA members. Local MP, Sir George Young, handed over the certificate to the Landlord, Alan Wingate.

"Many congratulations to the Eagle on this award; the judges took into account not just the quality of the beer served, but also the ambience of the pub and the quality of service. In the two years that Alan and his team have been running the Eagle, it has gone from strength to strength and this is fitting recognition of the hard work they do in making this such a successful pub. The North Hampshire CAMRA branch covers the area from Hartley Witney to Andover, with a substantial number of members based in Whitchurch. One had bicycled from Micheldever to Abbotts Ann to take part in the presentation."
