The Big Fest came to Beech Hurst Park for the day on Sunday, with an environmental theme.
"It was good to see the Andover Transition Town stall there, together with Test Valley Friends of the Earth. One of their campaigns was to reduce the carbon output of the town by working in collaboration with the local authority. There was a display by Compost Mentis, explaining how to recycle, and there was a background of live music from Jim Chorley, the Sofa Kings, and Old Time Radio. There was also dancing and singing by Capoeira and the Alegria Samba Group".
The event was well supported, and well advertised by Andover Sound. It was sponsored by Test Valley Borough Council and Hampshire County Council.
