Andover's New Street Football Club hosted the fourth inclusive Football Festival held in the town, organised by Streets Ahead.
"Inclusive Football provides the opportunity for players of all ages, who are unable to play in mainstream teams, to enjoy the comradeship and excitement of the game.
"Seventeen teams took part in the tournament, with about eighty players attending. Southampton, Bournemouth and the Isle of Wight provided many of the teams, and the tournament was divided into teams of juniors, and teams of adults. The event was well attended by parents and supporters of the teams, and many congratulations to Sue Simmonds, the Inclusion Group Secretary of Streets Ahead for organising the event with her team, and many thanks to Martin Talbin, one of the Streets Ahead coaches, for being the Master of Ceremonies".
Streets Ahead were wearing their kit, sponsored by Testway Transform, and Tesco kindly supplied the bottled water for the event. Streets Ahead are sponsored by SimplyHealth, the Football Foundation, and the Aaron Partnership.
Sir George formally opened the tournament by welcoming the visiting clubs, and thanking Andover New Street FC for hosting the event.
