Sir George Young opened the exhibition of work by Andover's Embroiderers at Andover Museum. The exhibition lasts for four weeks and, at the opening, the Museum's curator, Jenny Stevens, welcomed the group and said that the Museum enjoyed hosting exhibitions such as the one of the Embroiderers. Sir George said he was proud that such talent was to be found in and around Andover, and commended Pam Prince for her leadership and inspiration in teaching the craft of embroidery, and organising the exhibition, the theme of which was "All things bright and beautiful". There was a variety of work on display - cross-stitch, silk ribbon work, stump work and needle lace embroidery. Pam Prince also displayed the vestments she had made for the church in Wherwell, and Sir George is seen with her and the pulpit fall.
