Stars from the Christmas Pantomime at Basingstoke came to switch on the Christmas Lights in Tadley. Abi Titmuss and Andrew Agnew, staring in the Sleeping Beauty which opens at the Anvil on December 9th, joined the Mayor of Tadley Town Council Jo Slimin and local MP Sir George Young to switch on the Christmas Lights outside the Ambrose Allen Centre in Tadley.

Abi and Andrew signed autographs until the switch on at 7pm, and this was preceded by the Tadley Band and the Hurst Singers singing carols.

Wishing everyone a Happy Christmas, Sir George welcomed Abi and Andrew and wished them well in the pantomime "I wish you a Happy Christmas from the House of Commons, where some people think we do pantomime all the year round."

At the event the Lions raised funds for Andover CAB, enjoying its 20th anniversary, and the lights were formally switched on after the traditional countdown.
