The trustees, staff and volunteers of Tadley CAB held a retirement party for Sue Cutler, who has been the Bureau Manager since it started in 1985.

Tributes were paid to Sue by Jo Slimin, who has been Chair of Tadley CAB twice, and by the current Chair of the Trustee Board, Kate Hebden. Some of the volunteers who started at the same time as Sue also spoke, paying tribute to her leadership and management skills.

"I was happy to pay tribute to the work that Sue has done, building up the Tadley CAB to the highly successful operation that it is now. Life has become ever more complicated, and people need more and more advice about their entitlements - people who cannot afford to go to a solicitor. I pay tribute to the professional and independent advice which Tadley CAB offers to those who turn to them for help"

Sue Cutler was presented with a bouquet of flowers on behalf of the Mayor of Basingstoke & Deane, who was unable to be present; and everyone enjoyed light refreshments at the Ambrose Allen Centre.
