Sir George Young and the Deputy Mayor of Test Valley, Councillor Zillia Brooks, cut the ribbon to open the new offices of Be Wiser.

Be Wiser Insurance Services Ltd was started in 2007, and in the last four years has grown fast and now employs 185 people.

"I was delighted to hear that Be Wiser recruited 21 new staff this month, and that they have chosen Andover as their headquarters because of its good communications, and because of the quality of trainees coming from the local schools and college."

Sir George said that, while the economy as a whole was still recovering, some companies were clearly doing well and expanding and these success stories need to be balanced against the other stories of companies cutting back.

The company has 60,000 clients, and invests heavily in training. It's turnover has grown from £889,000 in it's first year to a forecast of £11 million in 2011. The firm has a number of offices in Andover, and has recent moved into Barratt House in Savoy Close.
