Top marks to CADS, whose productions are consistently of high quality, for holding a raffle to raise funds for the Andover Food Bank; and for enlisting the services of The Tacet Team, complemented by friends from Andover Light Orchestra, as a live band to accompany the songs.

The Empire was scripted and directed by Alan Willens, who identified the copious acting talent in the village and created the parts accordingly. The double-entendres were acceptable to a family audience and the references to corrupt and philandering MP's were appreciated by all - even the visiting MP.
It would be invidious to single out any individuals, as the strength of CADS is its ability to play as a team; but the quiet menace of Dave Painter as a Kray twin, the lechery of Cliff Tucker as Sidney Fiddler and the serenity of Alwyn Tucker as Marie Lloyd impressed the capacity audience.
