The second Jamie G Sports Fair took place at Vigo Park, celebrating sport in Andover and the surrounding villages, and encouraging people to get involved.
"I am grateful to Andover Sound and Andover Vision for hosting this event, raising funds for the Jamie G Trust. They have raised £75,000 in 18 months, and already distributed £50,000 to local groups." The Trust was set up after Jamie Gentleman died two years ago, and the event at Vigo enabled local sporting clubs to raise their profile and encourage people to join in. "It was good to see Nick Woodford and Andover Athletic Club, together with their mascot George, and to hear of the progress they are making with their new building. Although the event was disrupted by rain, there was a good turnout, and I very much hope that this will become an annual event. Also present was Councillor Ian Carr, Leader of Test Valley Borough Council"
