Hograost 2011 (yes, that is how it is spelt)was held at the grounds of the Andover Rugby Football Club over the weekend. Originally this was a camping weekend for owners of BMW GS motorbicycles, but the event's popularity has meant that it is now open to all comers. Organised by Steven Burbidge, all proceeds from the Hograost go to support the work of the Gateway Club of Andover, which is part of Andover MENCAP. The Gateway Club supports adults with learning difficulties in Andover by providing meetings, activities and trips.

Entertainment on the Friday and Saturday included Echos of Elvis, and Briefcase Blues Brothers. One of the other highlights was the dirtiest bike competition in memory of Ben Jones.

"I am very grateful to Steve for organising this event, which was very well supported, and for raising thousands of pounds for MENCAP."
